Pan Africa Soccer Academy and Area 51 Fc left their fans wondering after playing out a barren draw at the Ziavi Dzogbe Park on Wednesday, August 30.

The match day 8 game, became the second time the two sides have shared the spoils in the ongoing Volta Regional division 2 league as they played out 0-0 at the Ho Sports Stadium a month ago.

Unlike the first leg which begun with caution, the game had urgency from the beginning with Pan Africa creating scoring chances in the first 15 minutes. Area 51 had to come into the game later to make it balance with their entertaining play. Julius Addai was cautioned for an unsporting behavior.

The second half however saw the home side piling pressure on Panasoca, creating clear chances but to the timely clearance by the away defence.

Panasoca begun its substitution 10 minutes into the second half with the introduction of Stephen Essaw for Samuel Ennin. Then came Michael Degamakpor for Jones Mensah and finally Edem Kwao for Wesley Asare.

Then changes paid off as the pressure reduced, not until a miscommunication between Alfred Ayiku and Andrews Quaye nearly resulted in a goal. Andrews was then quick to the ball first as Area 51 attacker fell, in an attempt to dribble, leaving Alfred behind.

Referee Richard Kumedzro brought the game to an end after playing 3 extra minutes.

Raymond Grippman was adjudged Man of the Match for his good defensive work. He promised better performances in the subsequent games.

The draw means, Panasoca stays on top with 14 points after 6 matches, while Area 51 remain second with 13 points after 7 matches.

The two leaders in group B of the Central zone look prepared for the sub middle league but are yet to see who is superior as they have played 4 draws, with 2 friendly matches in June.
